Four Key Stages
• Preparation
• Incubation
• illumination
• Verification

Creativity does not strictly flow in the same direction. But various levels may occur in various order and at the same time
1. Preparation
Gathering
Collecting as much information as possible on the topic.
Define Problem
Dissect Problem
Using metaphors to talk about problem.
MindMap
Bombard your mind with information (both related and non-related) – immerse yourself into the problem, brainstorming, gathering information, a broad range of data, being receptive–no judgments in this stage, brainstorming, listening, no self-censorship, even frustration arises when the rational mind comes to a place of failure – anxiety
In this stage, you accept the impossible.

2. Incubation
Images occur spontaneously, but they are made to occur more easily if the person refrains from action and if external stimuli are reduced or eliminated. Rest, solitude, darkness, and meditation facilitate their occurrence.
Let the problem simmer. Digestion.
Daydream, Relaxing, Solitude, Sabbath,

3. Illumination
Illumination is the key phase of the creative process.
Creative Spirit – All of the sudden the answer comes. Eureka. Aha. This is it.
At this stage, you may enter secondary brainstorming.

4. Verification

The idea must be realized.
This is the stage when you ask tough questions. You choose what can be accomplished and what you have to put on hold.
In writing, this is the editing process. The cutting away of all extra that does not add to the overall paper.
You develop a plan for implementing the project or solution.
Clear deadlines help make sure the project is complete.
